Wilkes-Barre, Pa (September 1, 2010) According to Inc. 500/5000, Sundance Vacations is the fastest-growing travel company in Pennsylvania for the 2nd consecutive year. While Sundance Vacations ranked #3,190 on the Inc. 500/5000 list, no other Pennsylvania travel business ranked higher than this Wilkes-Barre based wholesale travel company. Compared to the rest of the company, Sundance Vacations is the #15 fastest growing travel company in the United States.
The company improved their ranking over 1500 spots from last year’s ranking of #4,718. This is an incredible achievement given the state of the economy. Sundance Vacations Announces Winner of Final Facebook Cruise Giveaway Contest
Winner Selected by Sundance Vacations’ Facebook Community
Wilkes-Barre, Pa (June 25, 2010) – Sundance Vacations today announced that Faye Shank of Hanover, PA is the winner of the Final Facebook Cruise Giveaway Contest. This is the last cruise giveaway in a series of Facebook contests by Sundance Vacations to give away six free cruises between April and June. Faye was nominated and chosen as the winner of the free cruise by Sundance Vacations’ Facebook community.
Faye suffers from seizures due to a disease called Lupus. Because of the seizures, Faye said she was “home bound and literally dropped out of everyday activities for fear of a seizure coming without any warning and becoming seriously hurt in the falls.” Luckily, after three years on a waiting list at Canine Partners for Life, she now has Dreyfus. Dreyfus is a fully trained service dog with the special ability to sense seizure activity in humans. Faye said she is “now able to vacation safely & happily” with her service dog by her side. Faye wrote in her essay that “Dreyfus is my independence. He has seen me through weekly seizures and even alerted Christmas of '09 to a stroke so early that I was able to get to the hospital in time for the medicine to be effective.”

It is great to know that Faye can now enjoy a vacation and not worry because she has the help she needs. Throughout the six contests the Sundance Vacations Facebook community really rallied around some of the most heartfelt and touching stories.”

Round-trip airfare for two (not to exceed $800 total) to port city;
This concludes the Facebook Cruise Giveaway. Coming up on the Sundance Vacations Facebook page will be a Vacation Photo contest, where contestants will be able to submit vacation photos for a chance to win a vacation to one of our many locations.

Sundance Vacations Announces Winner of Father’s Day Cruise Giveaway Contest

Wilkes-Barre, Pa (June 25, 2010) – Sundance Vacations today announced that Troy Nornhold and his wife Denise Nornhold of Williamsport, Pennsylvania are the winners of the Father’s Day Cruise Giveaway Contest. The Father’s Day cruise giveaway is the fifth in a series of Facebook contests by Sundance Vacations to give away six free cruises between April and June. Troy’s wife, Denise, nominated her husband for the contest and was chosen as the winner of the free cruise by Sundance Vacations’ Facebook community.
Troy and Denise have an eight year old son. Denise wrote in her nomination essay that “Troy’s been an awesome husband, father, co-worker, and friend.Some of his volunteering includes being an active member of our Sunday school and church, coaching AYSO soccer, being the PTSO vice-president, being a cub-scout leader, and much more.”
Often time’s things in life happen unexpectedly and unfortunately, Troy was diagnosed with cancer the weekend of Valentine’s Day. Denise said that “Apparently cancer doesn't discriminate, but it does affect our lives and many others. Troy, too, has affected the lives of many people.He is kind and caring, and would do anything for anybody.He has always put others’ wants and needs before his own. Being involved in all areas of life is what Troy does best.” Denise finished the nomination essay with “Throughout this whole ordeal, Troy has had a very positive attitude and outlook on life.If anyone is going to beat cancer, Troy will!He deserves a get-away cruise, but more importantly, he deserves a long and healthy life.”
Scott Carey, Sundance Vacations Communications Director, said that “it is terrible that the Nornhold’s have to go through this but it is great to see the community rally together for them. Sundance Vacations just held the contest but the Facebook community came together and voted for the Nornhold’s story. It is great to see people voting for families that have been through a lot.”
To nominate someone for one of Sundance Vacations’ free cruises, members of the Sundance Vacations’ Facebook community simply submit a photo of their nominee and a brief essay that explains why that person should win. The nomination period will last two-weeks for each contest and Sundance Vacations’ Facebook friends will have one week to vote for the winner of each contest on the Facebook Fan Page.
