전국 우체국 비상대책본부 설치…사전투표 우편 특별관리

(서울=연합뉴스) 박형빈 기자 = 과학기술정보통신부 우정사업본부는 다음달 3일 실시되는 '제9회 전국동시지방선거'를 앞두고 '선거우편물 특별소통'에 돌입한다고 11일 밝혔다.

이번 지방선거에는 선거공보와 투표안내문 약 2천449만통,더 게임 토토 먹튀관외 사전투표용지 회송 우편물 약 261만통 등 총 3천280만통의 선거우편물이 취급될 예정이다.

이에 따라 우정사업본부와 각 지방우정청 및 전국 우체국에 '선거우편물 특별소통 비상대책본부(반)'가 설치된다.

비상대책본부는 중앙선거관리위원회와 행정안전부,더 게임 토토 먹튀경찰청,더 게임 토토 먹튀지방자치단체 등 관계기관과 협조 체계를 구축해 선거우편물을 신속·정확히 처리할 계획이다.

우정사업본부는 거소투표 신고서나 거소 투표용지 회송용 봉투를 접수할 경우 우편일 접수일로부터 1∼2일인 배달 기간을 고려해 우체국에 접수하거나 우체통에 넣어야 한다고 당부했다.

또 수취인이 해당 주소에 거주하지 않거나 잘못 배달된 선거우편물은 봉투 표면에 사유를 기재해 반송함에 넣어달라고 요청했다.선거우편물은 은닉·훼손하거나 무단 수거할 경우 공직선거법 등에 따라 처벌받을 수 있다.

박인환 우정사업본부장은 "국민의 소중한 투표권이 차질 없이 행사될 수 있도록 모든 행정력을 집중하겠다"고 말했다.
